This is a pretty good game so far, but the music is atrocious. I don't care if they're trying to recreate an 8-bit vibe; it is terrible. I grew up in the era of the 8-bit generation and I can appreciate the sound quality of what they had to work with back in the day, but this is eerily bad no matter what time or place you are listening it in.

Whoa, really? Shovel Knight's soundtrack is often said to be one of the best things about the game! It's so catchy! (And I'm only 15, so....yeah) Is it the songs themselves you don't like, or the chiptune style?

I disagree. I do, however, understand why you dislike 8-Bit music. I can sometimes be quite irritating.

I take back a bit of what I said about the music as I've come across tracks that I've actually found enjoyable to listen. I'm going to hear each track individually again with more concentration and perhaps my opinion will change even further. I think I was being too judgemental before as I've found a few tracks more appealing than the first musical notes I gathered at the start of the game.
