When he throws his scythe and doesn't teleport, go to town for a few shots. If he does teleport, see where he goes and decide if it's worth it to chase. Also, every two times he does that toss attack, he'll follow it up with a charging dash. Long distance wand attacks also work. Good luck. He's one of the toughest bosses to me.
