I don't know if that will change, but the control of this bird is really a horror! I'll give Plaque a few tries more, otherwise I'll probably quit. Luckily Shovel is carved from a completely different 8bit-wood! ...and by the way, the challenges are absurd! Way too hard and no online connectivity, leaderboards and so on, or did I miss something?

Plague knight is actually easier to control in my opinion. Especially in the later levels you can jump farther and hover longer than shovel knight

My first thought was the control was terrible. I was dying all over the place in the first level. But by the end of the game, I much preferred Plague over Shovel. I think the key for me was getting the upgrade that lets you float after a bomb jump. You get it early and it makes a world of difference. I hope you are able to stick with it.

Yeah, I have the feeling I died in the first level more times than in the whole game with shovel knight, lol. Thanks for the comment, JasonLee.

The first Level with Plague Knight was hard for me, too. But a.fter practice exercises and some new upgrades I find him better as Shovel Knight. (The boss fights are in my opinion with Plague Knight easier, too.)
