I don't remember how much progress you made on the regular campaign. If you haven't beaten it yet, I recommend you do that first.
If you have beaten Shovel Knight already, please ignore.

I'm not a fan of jump&run games but this game is so wonderful, it makes me try and try ..... And the 3D fits so well for the backgrounds, I think on the 3DS it looks better than on WiiU.

the jumps with Plague Knight are tricky, but after playing the 1st stage again it was easier.

The jumping mechanic is the toughest thing to figure out. But later upgrades help out immensely. Have fun!

Personally, I think the HD on the wiiu doesn't do anything for it. The 3d on the other hand gives it a nice touch.

Daniel I agree. I saw pics on miiverse of the WiiU version ... I really like the 3D in this game.

Overall, I prefer the 3DS version of Shovel Knight as well. I've never been a graphics nut, so HD was never necessary in my opinion.
But the Wii U version shines when I want to share the game with others. And when playing on the tv, I can see other miiverse posts that relate to the action on screen. Such a cool feature and no other game does it.
