Oh so there really is a Shovel Knight DLC coming to smash 4? There were rumours about that. And than the Shovel Knight amiibo came out....Is there a DLC coming? I mean you winked at me so I'm guessing it's a yes? Boy! I am rambling! Sorry.

SK DLC is just speculation at this point, but since all the K. Rool, Inkling, Ryu, Lucas, Mewtwo, and Roy fanboys have been given what they want, it's looking like Shovel Knight is a possible frontrunner. People have also been saying Snake4Smash, but MGSV wasn't released on Wii U, so consider that partnership over. Wolf would just be another Fox clone, and Krystal is way too controversial.

60% of Shovel Knight's total sales are from Nintendo systems, Shovel Knight was released first on Nintendo consoles, and with the amiibo and the #NindiesatNight support, plus more FreeLC to keep the game fresh, Shovel Knight is the perfect candidate. Plus, it gives a chance to further the relationship between Nintendo and Yacht Club, possibly to the point of Yacht Club becoming a 2nd-party dev.
